The Oxford Society of Ageing and Longevity is a coalition of students, academics, and industry partners working to promote aging research and drug discovery. Aging is the leading cause of death worldwide, killing 70% of people worldwide and taking more than double all other causes combined. New therapies are needed to extend healthy lifespan by treating aging itself. We aim to empower students and the public to become aware of the link between aging and disease, and provide opportunities for members of our Society to contribute to this goal. The Society was founded in October 2020 and has experienced rapid growth since then.
